Sometimes life shapes people, preparing them to manage or take care of business and help change the lives of others. It may be that a person starts in a profession or has a job where they create or develop a network of contacts that takes them to another level where they have to educate and prepare themselves to take on new responsibilities that will allow them to reach a greater number of people.
Jado Hark is a businessman who started in the nightlife industry where he slowly built and surrounded himself with a network of athletes, lawyers, politicians, doctors, and also people looking to buy their first home. He currently runs the real estate agency Elite Agency and specializes in residential and commercial real estate.
“The passion to genuinely help people make their American Dream come true and own a home without having to overpay in a brutal market is what got me started in real estate.” Jado shares.
Jado started his career when he was 23 in Minneapolis, Minnesota. His previous experience was in the hospitality industry as he owned and operated restaurants, clubs and lounges.
Throughout his professional career, Jado has reaped many successes in the real estate industry, but according to him one of his greatest successes lies in the fact that he is able to help friends and family achieve the American Dream. He also says:
“Some of the biggest successes the business has achieved include being able to help a lot of people in my first couple of years. I’m averaging three times as many transactions as the newer agents.”
Jado differentiates himself from other real estate agents for his eagerness to help as many people as possible. This is what drives him and is why he can put his clients’ interests first, before the value of any given transaction.
As in all industries, the real estate industry has been affected by COVID-19. For Elite Agency, the emergence of the pandemic was the biggest obstacle thus far, given that real estate often requires face-to-face dealing.
Therefore, Jado and the Elite Agency had to reorganize their operations as well as keep tighter control of their overhead expenses. And they were able to do this and continue serving their clients.
“My advice for people trying to start their own business is: Go for it! Don’t hesitate, you never lose, you either win or you learn.” Jado states.
Jado believes success for any business lies on their customer service. That is why he ensures at the Elite Agency that there is “consistent communication, ethical behavior and positive experience throughout every step of the process.”
Looking ahead, Jado’s next projects include increasing his business to double the transactions he currently has on average, which would also mean having more clients and thus helping more people.
“You should not be afraid of change, the comfort zone is not always the best place to be, you have to take risks, you have to bet on opportunities, you lose 100% of the shots you don’t take.” He advises.
